Communities in 30A

Dune Allen Beach is on the western side of 30A and is close to Miramar Beach. It has several really nice public beach accesses and close to shopping at Silver Sands and restaurants. If you want to stay on 30A but be close to shopping and dining, Dune Allen Beach might be a great fit for you.

Gulf place is a rental community in Santa Rosa Beach. There are a few restaurants and ice cream shops central to Gulf Place. While the public beach access can be very busy, Gulf Place is family friendly and more ‘old 30A’ than the other communities.

Blue Mountain Beach is the most laid back and quiet beach town in 30A. It still has a few shops and restaurants, including ice cream, but is not nearly as busy as other beach communities in 30A. If you want a quiet, safe beach vacation, with private beaches, and limited access to the world, Blue Mountain Beach is the 30A community for you.

Home to Grayton Beach State Park and The Red Bar, Grayton Beach is a family friendly, laid back beach community like Blue Mountain Beach but has a few key locations that your family is sure to enjoy.

With a gorgeous Main Street that is vibrant with life and colorful architecture, Rosemary Beach is one of our all time favorite locations for family beach portraits, weddings, and commercial projects.

Alys Beach is known for its mediterranean influenced white washed walls with lush greenery. It is a private community with some public restaurants. The amenities are top tier and although you must be staying in Alys Beach to be able to photograph there, it is worth all of the extra effort.

Watercolor might not look like an actual watercolor portrait but it is definitely as beautiful as a painting. The gardens featured in the photo above are within walking distance to the central area in Watercolor complete with boutiques, restaurants, a coffee shop, and other places to explore. Hidden within Watercolor is the Boathouse Restaurant, a popular location for weddings in Watercolor, Florida.

If you’ve ever watched The Truman Show and seen the iconic beach town with a clean, modern color palette and welcoming streets overlooking the beach, well that’s Seaside. Now home to a vast array of food trucks, its the perfect spot to stay or visit while you’re on your 30a Vacation.

Seacrest is immediately west of Rosemary Beach and has a semi-circle around The Village which hosts a variety of shops and restaurants. In the middle of the circle is a small amphitheater where you can frequently find live music and some other small shops. On the way to the beach is a gorgeous walk where we love to snap family portraits. They have a tram service that frequently runs to the beach so no matter where you’re staying, you have easy beach access.
